What goes into a Top10Easy Score
A hair salon or barbershop's Top10Easy Score comes from nine things Top10Easy can independently check on the business's own website: whether hours are listed, whether online booking is available, whether a phone number is published, whether pricing is shown, whether the site publishes basic structured business information, whether services are listed, whether the site works well on a phone, whether the connection is secure (HTTPS), and whether the site shows photos of the business. Every one of these is checked the same way for every business in the country, regardless of size, location, or whether the business has claimed its profile.

A business profile may also show a public regulatory record or how long a business has been operating, where genuine public evidence exists. That information is shown for context only. It is never part of the Top10Easy Score or Rank.
What if Top10Easy hasn't observed something yet?
Top10Easy is expanding across Canada, and not every signal has been independently checked for every business yet. A business whose website hasn't been checked enough yet to compute a reliable score is marked Not Yet Ranked. It stays fully listed in the directory and can still be claimed, it simply doesn't appear in a ranking until Top10Easy has enough evidence.
Why some businesses are tied
When two or more businesses score identically on every signal above, Top10Easy shows them as tied rather than inventing an order between them. Top10Easy never uses a business's ID, its listing on other data sources, how much evidence has been gathered about it, random chance, or whether it has claimed its profile or paid for anything to break a tie. If the real, observed evidence doesn't show a difference, Top10Easy doesn't show one either. A tied Rank is a genuine result, not a placeholder.
What never affects Rank
Claiming a profile, paying for an enhanced listing, and how complete a business's profile is never change its Rank. Only the real, independently observed signals above do.
